If you are a scenario designer with a high-quality mod pack,
we would love to feature your work. Please keep in mind that our
requirements are strict because our visitors demand only the best. Use the
following five point check list to determine if your work
qualifies...
- This probably goes without saying, but your mod should contain no
run-time errors or missing support files. It should be extensively
tested in advance.
- We are looking for mod packs, not just simple scenarios. Mods
introduce new graphics and/or extensive changes to the rules and text
support files. You are encouraged to create several scenarios that use
your modified text and graphics. Include these scenarios in your mod
pack.
- Your mod should have high replay value. At least one scenario
with a random map is a must. Make sure that no two civs are alike.
Customize the diplomacy scripts to give each tribe a distinct character.
Each civ should have unique abilities and units so a player can play the
same game from many different perspectives.
- Your mod should have a fully functional Civilopedia. Nothing
annoys a player more than trying to look up a unit and finding nothing.
- We prefer mod packs that demonstrate innovation. Try to
introduce a feature or idea that players have not seen before.
If your mod meets these criteria, we commend you on your professionalism
and dedication to the game. You are invited to feature your work here on
CivMods.com, where you will join the elite ranks of scenario designers
around the world. We cannot compensate you for your mod pack, but we can
spread your fame and insure that thousands of Civ players will appreciate
your achievement.
